You are the Treasure
The other day I was looking at a picture that I have in my bathroom. It is the bible verse from Matthew 7:7:
ASK and it shall be given to you;
SEEK and you will find;
KNOCK and it shall be opened for you;
And something pinged me as I looked at it this time… the ping was that I have assumed that someone or something OUTSIDE me going to respond, help and/or DECIDE to answer or respond. I think I was pinged because I was feeling small; thinking that something outside of me, greater than me, was doing the work and would provide for little unwise me.
We probably all have experienced the idea that someone or something OUTSIDE of us is going to respond, help and/or DECIDE about what is best or right for us. That we do not have the wisdom within. We ask for outside help, we seek outside influencers that have answers, we knock at all kinds of outside doors for what is the right path.
I know this verse is trying to help us feel we are not alone and that there is great love and support for us everywhere, and I so appreicate it and call on it often. And somehow I think we/I have also interpreted the message to mean that we are separate from this help and support…and that it is external to us…but what if all is within and apart of us?
The Treasure is Within
Recently I wrote a children book “Jake on Diamond Lake”. It is a story about a young bass searching for treasure with his grampa bass. They go in search for the typical treasure – gold and silver. But on the adventure, they are shown that the real treasure is within. Because along the way, they meet Angel aAngel fish, a radian guide who helps them discover a surprising truth: that the greatest treasure is not something that you seek outside of you, but that it is something aleady within…it is their Diamond Hearts and the wisdom that it holds.
And then I was inspired to relook at this verse again, and received the following updated message which contained additional information that gave me pause:
ASK and it shall be given to you – update: ask within and you will hear,
SEEK and you will find – update: Seek inside and you will find,
KNOCK and it shall be opened for you: update: – knock on the door of your own heart and you will know - Matthew 7:7
Is the treasure outside of ourselves or is it within? And hasn’t it always been within?
We are always connected to the unlimited wisdom and support of unlimited grace. It is the energy that flows through us always and in all ways. We cannot be disconnected from it. We might think we are - but we cannot be. And our hearts, our diamond hearts, hold the vibration that resonates with the unlimited. As we ask within our diamond hearts, we hear the wisdom. As we turn within and seek our divine connection, we find the inspiration we are looking for, and when we knock on that diamond door the remembering of the grand connection cannot be denied and and and all doors are available to you.
Thank you for being the true treasure you are and sharing your diamond heart with us. What a gift. And this is how you and all prosper always and in all ways.
